Tech-Flavor

Just keeping the activity rolling. I'm still here, just busy working on a larger, more complex project at the moment.

So whilst I work on that, here are some quick, random sketches to look at. XD

This one comes from one of the many OC sessions I've had with a close friend of mine. We were talking about what the 'High Tech' look entails. Turns out that there are many things that can be considered high tech, it's just a matter of style or flavor.

There's the 'advanced-alien' look with it's rounded curves and organic shapes, the 'Space Marine' look, with it's hard, obtuse angles and grunge feel, and then the 'Evil-tech' look, with it's inverse curves and excessive pointyness. XD

Of course, I'm sure there's a few more central flavors out there. I'm hoping to do a study/tutorial on this soon, complete with color schemes and such.

Out of curiosity (and perhaps research purposes ), what comes to mind when YOU see the word 'high tech'? What sort of images and shapes do you associate it with? Is there a such thing as 'good tech' and 'bad tech' kinds of looks?
