Along with the sculpt, I also had a good chance to practice lighting and photography techniques. This set uses a black, backlit background. There's a colored LED based light on the left and a diffused strobe on the right. =]
I love the lighting! The far right picture here is probably my favorite angle of this amazing sculpt. The attention to detail is mind numbing, with all those clothing wrinkles and intricacies, especially on the face. You did an amazing job! I'd like to see this painted one day, perhaps. Wouldn't that be something? XD
I was considering painting it but I don't think I had the right tools to get it to the level I would like to see it.. but that's changing. I recently got my hands on an airbrush kit, so we'll see. If not this one, I'll paint my next one for sure! =]
Well, kindof both. We have a studio where we can drop in and work on our own projects while getting pointers from other artists there. It wasn't a class assignment in other words. I did it on my own accord. =]
