In the effort of getting myself back into practice, here's a little something I polished up. =]

It's a worksheet called 25 essential expressions challenge template by ~napalmnacey which I completed several semesters ago. I recently scanned it in and colored it using Photoshop CS4, which I had not had the opportunity to use extensively yet.

It's sort of quick and dirty. There's a lot I could have refined, but this was just to help get myself back into a more artistic mood after not doing any full color 2d work in months.

For those of you working on character concepts, I would highly recommend that you give it a shot. It really does help to give you a better feel of a character. =]

I like Silly the best hehe :3 Id agree with cobalt, it really doesn't feel complete without seeing the ears in there. Id vote for an earshot ^^ *shot*

Not bad buddy, but usually head expressions is just the bust of the character because even with just a facial expression, I can't see what's the ears are doing? Like "Scared" his ear could be straight upright, and "Sad" flopping ears.

ah true. I didn't consider putting in the ears because the drawing area for each square was quite small when I printed it out. I should try that another time. =]

Just gotta ask, but your expressions seem to be alot similar to that of Ken Akumatsu's. Would they have by anychance been incorporated from his style?

ah, I don't think so. The only work I've seen from him is Love Hina and that was long, long time ago. If anything I'd say I have more influence from Hiromu Arakawa and Hitoshi Okuda's work. =]

I've been meaning to do that for a while, but you beat me to it. I'm always too lazy of not confident enough to do it... Now that you did, I better slap myself and get to work.
